Description
Understanding what can positively or negatively impact a care experienced person as they transition to adulthood is key when wishing to create the supportive, healing and empowering environments they need and deserve as they step into adulthood.
This training draws on research findings, practice experience and lived experience expertise.
We will explore together the pressure points that care-experienced people face, including where financial need has the biggest impact on wellbeing and ability to access and sustain employment, education and accommodation.
Together, we will assess how current structures, support and services either help or hinder CEP experiences.
Using the capability approach framework, this session will guide you to a deeper understanding of how and why accessibility to support can fail to have the intended impact and provide you with tools to action change, sustain or scale in your settings.
