Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to services, experiences, training and learning provided by Carrie Wilson, including:

Training, workshops and learning programmes โ€ข On-demand learning โ€ข Bespoke and organisational training โ€ข Forest Bathing & Nature Connection experiences โ€ข Private and group experiences โ€ข Nature-based events and ceremonies

By making a booking or purchasing a service, you agree to the terms that apply to that service.

These Terms and Conditions should be read alongside my Cancellation, Refunds & Returns Policy and Privacy Policy.

Where specific terms are agreed in writing for bespoke or commissioned work, those terms will take precedence where they differ from these general Terms and Conditions.

1. Bookings & Payment

Bookings are subject to availability and are normally confirmed once the booking process has been completed and any required payment has been received.

Prices and payment arrangements will be displayed at the point of booking or set out within a proposal, quotation or invoice.

You are responsible for providing accurate contact information when booking so that I can provide confirmation, joining instructions, location information and any important updates.

Where an organisation or individual books on behalf of another participant, they are responsible for ensuring that the participant receives relevant information about the service and these Terms and Conditions.

Training & Learning

2. Training & Learning Services

I provide live and online training, workshops, seminars, facilitated learning, bespoke organisational programmes and on-demand learning across my specialist areas.

The content, format, duration and learning outcomes will vary according to the individual course or commission and will be explained within the relevant course information, proposal or agreement.

3. Bespoke & Organisational Training

Bespoke training will normally be agreed through a proposal, quotation, booking confirmation or other written agreement.

This may specify the content, intended outcomes, format, dates, duration, participant numbers, location, preparation, resources, fees and any agreed travel or additional expenses.

Significant changes to the agreed scope may require a revised quotation or fee.

Where bespoke training requires substantial preparation, development or creation of new resources, this work forms part of the commissioned service and may remain chargeable if the client subsequently cancels, in accordance with the cancellation terms agreed for that commission.

4. Online Training

Participants attending live online training are responsible for having suitable internet access and a device capable of accessing the platform being used.

Joining information will be provided before the session.

I cannot be responsible for technical difficulties caused by a participant’s own equipment, internet connection or network.

Where a significant technical problem on my side prevents delivery, I will make reasonable arrangements to reschedule the affected learning or provide another appropriate remedy.

5. On-Demand Learning

On-demand courses are provided for use by the individual or organisation purchasing the relevant access.

Any applicable access period, completion requirements and included resources will be stated within the individual course information.

Individual login details and course access must not be shared with other people unless the purchased licence expressly allows multiple users.

Organisations wishing to provide access to multiple staff members should purchase the appropriate organisational or multi-user access where available.

Additional statutory requirements may apply where digital content is supplied immediately after purchase. Where required, appropriate information and consent regarding immediate access and cancellation rights will be provided during checkout.

6. Training Materials & Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the intellectual property in my original training content and materials remains mine.

This includes original presentations, slides, workbooks, exercises, activities, videos, recordings, course content, downloadable resources, frameworks and other learning materials created by me.

Materials supplied through training are provided for participants’ own learning and professional development.

Participants are encouraged to apply their learning within their own practice. However, unless prior written permission has been given, the training materials themselves must not be copied, reproduced, distributed, published, sold, substantially adapted into another training product or used to deliver training to other people.

Where materials created by another author or organisation are included, their own intellectual property rights continue to apply.

7. Recording Training

Training sessions must not be audio or video recorded, photographed or otherwise reproduced without my prior permission.

This is particularly important where sessions involve discussion or contributions from other participants.

If I intend to record any part of a session, participants will be informed and appropriate consent and privacy arrangements will be explained.

8. Training Participation & Sensitive Content

Some learning explores subjects including trauma, care experience, adversity, poverty, inequality, mental health, safeguarding and lived experience.

These subjects may have personal relevance for participants.

My training is designed around principles of choice and meaningful participation. Participants will not normally be expected to disclose personal experiences and can make choices about how they engage with reflective activities and discussions.

Participants are expected to engage respectfully with others and recognise that discussions about systems, power and practice can involve different perspectives and sometimes challenging conversations.

Training is provided for educational and professional-development purposes and does not constitute individual medical, psychological, therapeutic, legal or other regulated professional advice.

9. Training Certificates

Where a course includes a certificate of attendance or completion, any requirements will be stated within the course information.

For live training, this may require attendance for the relevant proportion of the session. For on-demand learning, specified course elements or activities may need to be completed.

A certificate of attendance or completion confirms participation in that learning. It does not confer a professional qualification, licence to practise or accreditation unless this is explicitly stated for the particular course.

Forest Bathing & Nature Connection

10. The Nature of Forest Bathing

Forest Bathing is a guided nature-connection and wellbeing practice designed to create opportunities to slow down, engage with the natural environment and reconnect with ourselves and the world around us.

Despite the name, no actual bathing is required!

Sessions may include slow walking, sensory invitations, periods of silence or stillness, reflection, creativity, gentle movement and time sitting or standing outdoors.

Activities vary depending on the particular experience, landscape, season, weather and group.

All activities are invitations. There is no expectation that you participate in a particular activity or experience it in a particular way.

Forest Bathing and Nature Connection experiences are wellbeing activities. They are not medical treatment, psychotherapy or counselling and should not be considered a substitute for appropriate professional healthcare or mental-health support.

11. Outdoor Environment & Physical Requirements

Unless otherwise stated for a particular experience, participants should expect to be able to walk approximately 1โ€“2 miles, potentially across uneven, muddy, sloping or natural terrain.

Sessions may involve periods of standing or sitting outdoors.

Natural environments contain hazards that cannot be entirely removed, including uneven or slippery ground, tree roots, branches, mud, water, insects, plants and changing weather conditions.

I will take reasonable steps to plan and facilitate sessions safely. Participants are also expected to take reasonable care of themselves, follow safety information and remain aware of their surroundings.

12. Accessibility & Individual Needs

I want Forest Bathing and Nature Connection experiences to be as accessible as reasonably possible.

If you have an accessibility requirement, injury, mobility consideration or another need that may affect your participation, please contact me before your session so that we can discuss what might help.

Where reasonably possible, I will explore adaptations or alternative experiences with you.

You do not need to disclose detailed medical information that is not relevant to your participation.

13. Clothing & Preparing for Your Experience

Participants are responsible for arriving appropriately dressed for the expected weather, environment and terrain.

Suitable outdoor footwear and clothing appropriate for the temperature and possibility of rain are recommended.

Any particular requirements for an individual experience will be provided before the session where appropriate.

14. Weather

Forest Bathing does not automatically stop because it rains.

Experiencing changing weather can be part of connecting with the natural environment, and sessions may be adapted to make use of different conditions.

Safety, however, always takes priority.

I may postpone, relocate, shorten or cancel an experience where weather or environmental conditions make proceeding unsafe or unsuitable. This may include severe weather, storms, extreme temperatures, flooding, unsafe ground conditions or relevant official warnings.

Where I cancel an experience, the arrangements within my Cancellation, Refunds & Returns Policy will apply.

15. Travel & Meeting Points

Participants are responsible for arranging their own transport to and from the agreed location.

Meeting points and relevant arrival information will be provided before the experience.

Please allow sufficient time to arrive, as outdoor experiences may need to leave the meeting point at the scheduled start time.

16. Digital Detox Experiences

Some experiences intentionally include periods without phones or other digital devices.

During designated Digital Detox sessions, participants may be invited to place their phones securely with me for some or all of the experience.

I will retain access to a phone for emergency and safety purposes.

The arrangements will be explained at the beginning of the session, and participation in digital-detox activities will be discussed as part of the experience.

17. Emotional Wellbeing

Slowing down, spending time in silence or connecting with nature can sometimes bring unexpected thoughts, memories or emotions to the surface.

You are always free to step away from an activity, take some space or choose not to participate in a particular invitation.

I aim to create supportive and respectful spaces, but Forest Bathing is not a therapeutic or clinical intervention.

18. Open, Private & Group Experiences

Unless stated otherwise, scheduled Forest Bathing experiences may be open-group sessions, meaning you may participate alongside people you do not already know.

Private experiences may also be available for individuals, couples, friends, families, groups and organisations.

Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards other participants, me and the natural environment.

19. Children, Young People & Supported Participation

Experiences specifically designed for children, young people or families may have additional participation and supervision requirements, which will be explained when booking.

Adults accompanying children remain responsible for their supervision unless explicitly agreed otherwise.

If you need to attend with a carer or support person, please contact me so that we can discuss appropriate arrangements.

Terms Applying to All Services

20. Accessibility & Reasonable Adjustments

I recognise that people participate, communicate, learn and process information in different ways.

If you have an accessibility requirement or would benefit from an adjustment to training, an event or an experience, please contact me as early as possible.

I will work with you to identify reasonable adaptations where possible.

21. Respect, Choice & Participation

Whether we are learning in a training room, working together online or spending time in nature, my approach centres choice, agency, respect and meaningful participation.

You will not normally be required to share personal experiences in order to participate.

Participants are expected to treat other people respectfully. I reserve the right to take reasonable action where behaviour significantly disrupts an experience or learning environment, compromises the safety or dignity of others, or involves harassment, discrimination or other serious inappropriate conduct.

In serious circumstances, this may include asking someone to leave. A refund would not normally be provided where a participant is removed because of serious inappropriate behaviour.

22. Privacy & Confidentiality Within Groups

Some training and experiences create opportunities for people to share reflections or experiences.

Participants are asked to respect the privacy of others and not share personally identifiable information or personal experiences disclosed by another participant outside the session.

However, because I cannot control the actions of individual participants, I cannot guarantee confidentiality on behalf of everyone attending.

Participants should therefore make choices about what they feel comfortable sharing.

Personal information collected through bookings and services will be handled in accordance with my Privacy Policy.

23. Safeguarding

Training and Forest Bathing experiences are supportive learning and wellbeing environments, but they are not confidential therapeutic services.

If information is disclosed that raises a significant safeguarding concern, I may need to take appropriate action in accordance with applicable safeguarding responsibilities or legal requirements.

Where services are commissioned by an organisation, that organisation retains responsibility for its own safeguarding duties, policies and procedures.

24. Photography & Media

I will not use identifiable photographs or video of participants for promotional purposes without appropriate permission.

Where photography or filming is planned, this will be explained and participants will be able to decline.

Choosing not to be photographed will not affect your ability to participate.

Participants should also obtain permission before photographing, filming or publicly sharing images containing other participants.

25. Cancellation, Transfers & Refunds

Cancellation, transfer, rescheduling and refund arrangements are explained in my separate Cancellation, Refunds & Returns Policy.

Please read that policy before making a booking.

Specific cancellation arrangements may be agreed for commissioned or bespoke services and, where agreed in writing, those arrangements will take precedence.

26. Changes or Cancellation by Me

Occasionally, circumstances outside my reasonable control may require me to change, postpone or cancel a service or experience.

I will provide as much notice as reasonably possible and, where appropriate, offer an alternative date, transfer or refund in accordance with my Cancellation, Refunds & Returns Policy.

For outdoor experiences, I may make changes at shorter notice where weather, environmental conditions or other safety considerations require this.

27. Personal Belongings

Participants remain responsible for their own belongings.

Where belongings are temporarily held as part of an activity, such as a Digital Detox experience, reasonable care will be taken.

I cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

28. Liability

I will provide services with reasonable care and skill and take reasonable steps to manage foreseeable risks associated with the activities I facilitate.

Participation in outdoor environments nevertheless involves inherent risks that cannot be entirely removed.

Training and learning outcomes also vary between individuals and organisations, and I cannot guarantee a particular professional, organisational or personal outcome from participation.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

29. Cancellation Rights & Consumer Rights

Your cancellation rights may vary depending on what you purchase.

Different rules can apply to dated leisure activities, live training, bespoke services and digital content provided immediately after purchase.

Where statutory cancellation rights apply, nothing within these Terms and Conditions or my Cancellation, Refunds & Returns Policy is intended to restrict those rights.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law.

30. Changes to These Terms

I may update these Terms and Conditions periodically to reflect changes to my services, business practices or legal requirements.

The current version will be published on this website with the date it was last updated.

The version applying to a booking will normally be the version in place when that booking was made, unless a change is required by law or otherwise agreed.
